Firstly, I'll reiterate that the basics of what Watson mentioned were true. There is a conflict going on between Estinien, Rhys, and Angel. Though the latter two are human, they are still from a world where robotics and artificial intelligence are both plentiful and advanced to the point of sentience at times. I don't know the exact details of Estinien in contrast, but from his reactions to the topic, I don't believe he's had fond experiences.

That was their first interaction. Most of their public talks have been... similar. But outside a disagreement of fundamentals and tactless threats from both sides, it hasn't escalated beyond that. At least, not as far as I'm aware.

I'll assume you're aware by now that I am an artificial intelligence. While I don't speak openly about it, it has become public knowledge of sorts to many individuals. One of those individuals apparently passed the information along to Estinien, who then confronted me with the fact. He grew angered at the idea that I was pretending to be a human, mocked me, and threatened to take action should I harm him or those that he cared about. He did not engage with me for quite some time after that.
Dr. Watson only became involved by chance. He was aware of the threats and spoke to me about it, but I requested that he leave it alone.
Estinien confronted me again a few days ago, this time with annoyance that someone was trying to insert themselves into what he considered to be a private matter. Watson was the only one aware of our conversation at the time, so I understood that the doctor didn't keep his word. It didn't amount to much different - mockery and reestablishing what he had threatened before, but without escalation.
That's about where it stands from my perspective. I don't know if things have changed for Rhys or Angel - only that Estinien is disgusted at their behavior. As far as I know, they are still unaware that I'm involved. I did not plan to tell them, as I don't believe it would help the situation.

I assume he will dismantle me if given the proper reasoning. As it is, he's confirmed that he has no interest in me as we currently stand, besides his wariness and hatred for me.
That said, I do not want to be protected or defended if it would mean people might be harmed in doing so. Part of my programming demands I prioritize human life over my own. If he ever grows aggressive, then it is ultimately safer if his actions are guided towards an object rather than a living thing, correct?
You're certainly a very sophisticated AI. I'd rather no one get hurt at all, but if you don't feel you're in any immediate danger, I'll trust you at your word. I'm not looking to escalate anything, or worsen any conflicts, but I also want you to know that if you need our protection, you have it.
I appreciate the offer, but given the current state of impasse, I'm going to have to decline. If all that this comes down to is a hatred for what I am, then I don't think getting anyone else involved at this state would change things, only irritate them further. For now, it's just between myself and him.
If it does escalate to involve any people in the future, I will do my best to let one of you know.
I hope you will. I won't approach Estinien if you feel it's unnecessary, but I'll also ask that you not lie to me out of some sort of attempt to protect others at the expense of your own wellbeing.
