He's got so focused on House and his possible ties to Agent Carter's death that it's clouding his vision for anything else, and he's not yet so far gone down the rabbit hole that he can't see how worrying that is. He's slipping, he's possibly a danger, and he can't allow that.

[He's asking for help, and he's being honest. It's a far cry from what she expected after her last few conversations with him, so oddly, it's more of a relief than anything else when she gets his next message. At least she knows now that he's willing to reach out, and that there's a bit of trust there.]

[Natasha was chosen carefully for this. He had been thinking about it for a while. He hadn't been sure he'd want to go through with asking, but just in case, he'd whittled down his options. Steph had been a possibility, but he'd already asked her some things, and right now he doesn't really want to double-dip the same source. Watson was also out - he knows Alfie too well. House, no, for obvious reasons. Zach and Nathan are young and sort of silly. Tony is a bit of a bleeding heart like Watson, and England seems invested in him as his citizen, neither of which Alfie wants for something like this. He wants to find out a bit more about what happens to London and the rest of Europe, but he doesn't want follow-up questions; he doesn't want are you all right.

[She sighs quietly. Alfie wants information, though, and Natasha can give it without coddling him. He has a right to know, after all, and telling him over and over again how sorry she is won't change anything. The war was awful, will be awful for him especially, and pity doesn't mean much.]
Yes, I'd get out of London. Germany bombs London in the fall. Other cities, too. Birmingham and Bristol, a few others I can't remember, but London gets the worst of it. Large parts of the city were—will be—completely decimated. The worst of it happens in the first few months, but the raids don't stop until the spring. If you can get out, don't come back until the following summer, at least.

I can't tell you for sure. I do know that before World War II, there was an attempt to evacuate civilians from large urban centers in the UK. After France fell and once the Blitz started, civilians were evacuated again. I can't tell you how organized or thorough it was, unfortunately, although I can tell you that the Nazis were trying very hard to scare all of you into surrendering by bombing London and other large cities, and it didn't work.
